Who we are.
Since 1982, the Diabetes and Nutrition Study Group (DNSG) has held its annual meeting, working to realize better scientific interchange on clinical and metabolic effects of nutrition in relation to diabetes. The group includes over 100 standing members who are world renowned experts in their respective areas of nutrition and diabetes.
The DNSG acts as a reference group for EASD in matters related to nutrition and diabetes.
Aims of the DNSG.
a) To advance epidemiologic, clinical and basic research in relation to nutrition, metabolism, diabetes and its comorbidities.
b) To promote scientific multidisciplinary interchange between professionals interested in the clinical and metabolic effects of nutrition in relation to diabetes and its prevention.
c) To facilitate the implementation of appropriate dietary therapy in individuals with diabetes.
d) To delineate evidence-based nutritional guidelines for diabetes prevention and treatment.
We have designed this site to provide a more comprehensive overview of the goals, work and functions of the study group, and to give our members and prospective members greater access to our online archive of published papers and abstracts, and symposiums or educational information’s for the DNSG members.
